Sugar Scoop Addition
We spent quite a while figuring out the angle of the up curve and the top edge of the scoop. The angle that we ended up with will (on top) match the angle formed by the aft stay, and more or less made that underside up curve 90 degrees to the top.
The bottom edge fairing followed the thickness of the rudder stem and flaired out to match the existing stern.
We fabricated and installed new caprails. The aft stayed where the original one was. There was a minor cutout where the edges of the scoop met the hull.
